Jerks of Grass
The home of seven time Best Roots Music Act Jerks of Grass. Come see us every Thursday night at the Bramhall Pub!
King Memphis
I've been in King Memphis for 18 years now and it's still awesome every time we get together.
Harpswell Sound
I was lucky to get to be in this band for a couple years before we went our separate ways. Some of my favorite songs that I've ever gotten to record are on "Let's Go Anyway" Ron Harrity has gone on to found Peapod Recordings (see link below) check out the great artists on this label.
Dan Blakslee
A great songwriter and artist who frequents the Portsmouth to Portland scene. I got to play on a couple tunes on his last record and Ron Harrity from Harpswell Sound recorded it so you should buy it; is I guess what I'm trying to say.
Sean Mencher Combo
I got to play on Sean' s latest and his first ever solo album. Every now and then I get to play a show with this fine band.
Ronnie Dawson
Ronnie was the best performer I ever had the opportunity to play with. He could turn on any audience you put in front of him. Truly one of the greats of rockabilly music.
Link Wray
I spent some time out on the road with Link. Buy me a beer and I'll tell you a story. All kidding aside this is one of the true Kings of the guitar. The man that invented the power chord and influenced everyone from John Lennon to Pete Towsend to the Ramones. Playing with Link is something I can never forget.
Sleepy LaBeef
If you ever get a chance to hear Sleepy's early fifties Texas rockabilly records don't miss out. King Memphis served as Sleepy's back up band for some gigs and Sleepy is a one of a kind showman.
Ray Campi
I got to play guitar for Ray Campi when King Memphis backed him up last year out in Green Bay and we had ourselves a time.
Eddie Kirkland
Eddie was along time time guitarist with John Lee Hooker and a former band leader for Otis Redding. It was an honor to get to play guitar for Eddie on one of his recent trips to Maine.
Sonny West
King Memphis backed up this rock n' roll legend on a couple of occasions. Credited with being the writer of some of the earliest rock and roll recordings not to mention writing the classic hit's "Rave On" and "Oh Boy" for Buddy Holly.
Dale Hawkins
One of the true greats. Dale wrote the classic "Suzie Q". Without question one of the most important songs in the history of rock and roll. Not to mention one of the nicest guys you could ever work for.
Joe Clay
A member of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame for good reason. This guy is still rocking as hard as ever and is truly one of my favorites. First got to see him when I was touring with Ronnie Dawason and he tore it up. Getting to play with Joe at a recent festival was really a thrill. Don't miss seeing him if you get the chance.
Rosie Flores
The reigning princess of rockabilly. Got a chance to play with Rosie this past year down in New York City and had a ball. Rosie travels constantly so check your local listings.
